Twiter and Facebook on Sun Cellular’s Sun Alertz. This is an updated version of my previous post.
It has been a while since I last used the Sun Alertz service, mainly because I encountered a lot of issues from it for the past several months. The problem was I can’t tweet! Whenever I do the “TW (msg) then send to 2555,” Sun doesn’t respond. Not even a message notifying me that I successfully posted a tweet. It was working perfectly before though. But from then on I didn’t bother to use Sun Alertz anymore.
Last month, I got curious whether the service is already fix or not so I tried tweeting via 2555 once again. I got a message saying that I succesfully posted a tweet and I was charged for 1 peso. I was happy because I thought it was already fixed. But when I visited my profile, my tweet wasn’t there. Thankfully I found @sunalertz on twitter and consulted about the problem. Apparently they already updated their service, they call it Sun Alertz 2.0, and I have to register again.
So here’s the new steps to apply for the Sun Alertz service:
1.) Logon to www.sunalertz.com
2.) Input all the data needed
3.) Confirmation number will be sent to your mobile phone
4.) Input the confirmation code from your phone
5.) Add the service you wish to add
6.) Tweet or update status on Facebook using the usual keywords and send it to 2805, not 2555 anymore.
I’m just not sure whether these commands are still working or not.

There’s new feature in their Twitter service which I like: You can now customize who’s tweets are you going to receive on your phone. So don’t be afraid that your phone might be flooded with tweets from all tweeps you follow.
