I find myself quite stressed and pressured these days. A lot of things are just going on right now. Gladly, I found some stuffs that could entertain me and release some of those stress:
1. Nintendo Wii: I find myself playing Mario Kart Wii, Smash Bros. Brawl, and Wii Sports for hours. I’m really entertained playing these games. I always play Mario Kart Wii before sleeping at night. No matter how late it is, I just need to play a round of grand prix before going to bed. Then play Wii sports in the morning, to sweat out a bit. Smash Bros. Brawl also makes me feel quite good kicking opponents’ butt.
2. Slideshows: Creating and viewing slideshows helps me feel relaxed. Reminiscing the great times can be nostalgic but will really bring some inner peace.
3. Meditation: Putting my earphones on, playing some Christian or slow music, eyes closed, turning the aircon on, and saying a little prayer.. ahh… the ultimate relaxation. Feels like your spirit is being rejuvenated..
4. Shower and Pray: Another type of meditation I do is praying while taking a shower. I pray while letting the water just flow down my body, imagining I’m beneath a waterfalls. I don’t know why I love having my quiet time in the toilet, perhaps I find it the most peaceful place in the house.
5. Crazy about Monopoly: I downloaded the game “Monopoly” for Mac. Monopoly is a popular board game, and I got crazy about it. I spend 1 to 2 hours just playing Monopoly every night. The sad part is I’m playing alone (with computers)
The heck, I’m still enjoying it myself.
6. Reading Psalms and Proverbs: My favorite book in the Bible is the book Proverbs. I just love the wisdom King Solomon shared in that book. Psalms is also a nice book from King David. These books gives me strength and wisdom which I could use in my daily life.
How about you? How do you release yourself from stress and pressures in your everyday life?
