Passing A New Bill: Rename Your Name
I was sitting on my semi-rocking chair when suddenly a thought came to me: Why don’t we have any law about legally renaming a person’s name.
What I propose is: When a person turns 13, he or she has the option to rename himself/herself. This chance will only come once in a lifetime, and it is only valid on the 13th year.
I think it is fair enough to give every person an opportunity to rename himself. When you come to think of it, you are the one who’s going to live in that identity for the rest of your life, and you don’t even get the chance choose your own name.
I believe if ever this bill will be approved, people with similar name as this person will be very happy about it:

Why on the 13th year? Well, I just think that a person at this age is less likely to take advantage of the opportunity for illegal purposes.
I’m just killing some time by thinking out loud. Thank you very much for your time.
Have a great weekend!
