Take a look at these nice futuristic business cards. I’m really not sure if this is already out in the market or still on beta testing. But I would just like to share these great concepts about the future of business cards.
(You may click the images if you wish to view it larger.)
This is very interesting. This is actually my favorite among the four future business card concepts that I will show you. This was suppose to be saved for last, but I can’t wait to share this to you.
The ring is worn during meetings or events. Shaking hand is a culture that we all do if we met new clients, colleagues, or even a new friend. When both of person shake hand wearing this ring, the ring automatically transfers your data to the other ring, and at the same time saves the data that was transferred to you. Then you can attach the ring to a special card and browse for their information. Cool huh?
This card looks very high-tech, but the only thing it actually do is sort the the information nicely and can enlarge the fonts so that it can help the elderly view it clearer. I’m not that sure if how much does this card costs, but it looks pretty expensive to me. High-tech but unpractical.
A lot of cellphone nowadays has a built-in bar code reader. And some business cards have taken advantage of that feature by putting bar codes on the card.
The bar codes are primarily used for the ease of data transfer. Instead of manually inputting the person’s information to your cellphone, now you can just scan the bar code and TAHDAH! the informations are automatically saved to your mobile phone.
By the way, another use of bar codes is to encrypt information.
Finally, a business card with USB. Similar to what bar codes do, except this time it’s for your laptops and desktop computers. Just plug it in and it will automatically update your contacts. I’m just not sure if you can somehow use it for storage like a flash drive.
