Fly Like An Eagle And Fight A(H1N1)

by JeD on June 25, 2009

When storm comes, there are only two types of birds: Eagles and other birds.

Eagles use the great winds of the storm to fly beyond the clouds, while other birds will look for shelter and hide until the storm is over.

The A(H1N1) virus has been a storm not only in our country but in the whole world. This virus has been around for quite some time now and has spread very quickly, that caused panics and anxieties to all nations.

While all people are worried, hiding, doing all things to keep them from being infected, there are companies/corporation who have flown above the clouds and found great business opportunities at this kind of time.

As I watch the news, it is said that the sales of alcohols, hand sanitizers, soaps, food supplements, flu vaccines, even face masks had increased dramatically. These companies used the A(H1N1) virus as the backbone of their marketing plan. We can see the advertisements on TV nowadays is actually related to the virus.

As the eagle uses the wind to soar higher, such companies also used the “problem” to generate more profit. What could be greater?

So where do you belong? Are you an eagle? or do you belong to other birds?

Lesson learned: Try to find the “good” in every bad situation, or better yet, use the “bad” to create something good.

If I may say something about A(H1N1), just be responsible with yourself. Keeping yourself healthy and have a good hygiene is the simplest way you can do to fight off the virus. If you protect yourself from getting infected, it is as good as protecting your friends and family from getting infected as well.

And oh, don’t worry too much. Live a life normally. Just stay away from crowded places.
